University of Utah Genetic Learning Centre paper explains the role of epigenetics in energetic DNA.
Epigenetic inheritance is an unconventional finding. It goes against the idea that inheritance happens only through the DNA code that passes from parent to offspring. It means that a parent’s experiences, in the form of epigenetic tags, can be passed down to future generations.
Shell shock was the term used after the First World War to describe the effects of experiencing war on those returning from service. Children of Holocaust survivors showed these symptoms too after WWII.
Now society, science and the medical field acknowledges PTSD and there assistance available not only for war veterans but civilians and it is widely recognised for various traumatic experiences.
Assault, racism, accidents, violence, divorce, childbirth, illness, malnutrition, witnessing traumatic events known as secondary trauma. Being the child of a parent with PTSD, a mental health issue or any of the above may result in generational trauma.
Intergenerational trauma is well documented within indigenous communities. The stolen generations in Australia have finally been recognised and continue to need assistance with wellbeing outcomes for First Nations Children.
Danielle Rousseau discusses in her article, “Indigenous peoples are such a high-risk group that more programs and the like need to be directed toward them. They carry the weight of ancestors’ traumas that cannot truly be put into words.”
The key is awareness, acknowledgement and the action of healing.
Understanding rather than shame is vital.
Is Changing The Intergenerational trauma; Emotional Or Energetic DNA Of A Family Possible?
Intergenerational trauma has been passed down through generations for thousands of years.
Now with recognition, awareness, support and healing the consciousness of the planet too can change.
Our collective experiences of trauma can be transformed the more we acknowledge and transmute pain and suffering.
The energy of emotional trauma passed down through generations can be found in the energy field or biofield around the body.
Working with many clients over the years I have witnessed the impact of unresolved emotions associated with major live experiences.
Personally, the impact of having a parent that was adopted unknowingly had an impact on me and our relationship. Feelings of abandonment, not fitting in and not being loved or wanted can be passed down unconsciously like all trauma.
If a person has had negative experiences of authority during their life statements such as ‘Don’t trust anyone’, can influence future generations. I have seen this with children and grandchildren of people who lived through WWII in Europe. Suspicion, distrust and paranoia are in the subconscious from birth then reinforced through everyday conversations with family, not only that children mimic the behaviour of the adults around them.
Have you ever tried to break a habit or make a change and it just doesn’t work?
Somehow you just can’t make it stick.
What happens then? Self-criticism, self-judgement, sadness, anger and maybe even depression or anxiety become constant companions. This is so unfair, the impact of the emotions and energetic DNA from past generations is huge, it’s not your fault, neither was it theirs. Most humans are doing the best they can.
Working with several generations of the one family the impact of not feeling loved is extraordinary and not uncommon.
Here’s what I observed with a few different families where love was not openly expressed. How the impact of one person feeling unloved and unimportant effects their descendants.
FAMILY ONE
- First generation – low self-esteem, put everyone first, repressed anger, suppressed sadness, didn’t feel worthy of love and become quite unwell later in life.
- Second generation – low self-esteem, denied anger, took on the role of trying to heal themselves the previous generation, their spouse and children, total emotional exhaustion.
- Third generation – Anger fully expressed toward themselves and everyone.
FAMILY TWO
- First generation – passive aggressive, emotional outbursts, suppressed sadness, abandonment issues, emotional shut down; unable to form close emotional attachment, martyr.
- Second generation – people pleaser, conditional giving, unable to recognise emotional needs of others, genuine emotional attachment difficult, obligated to parent, unable to express emotions in healthy ways.
- Third generation – Anger; expressed alternates between passive aggressive and outright. Tries to become more aware with study, friends and understanding family.
This is not a case study nor a formula merely observations of how passed down emotions may be experienced and expressed with different generations. Changing the vibrations in a family that hold us back, make us feel unimportant or not able to take our place in the world is needed now! These changes within us do impact everyone around us, not just family.
Your improved state of being, your global heart print helps us all, paying it forward is now not a new concept so why not embrace paying it forward with a new vibration. If we change and others see that change it also encourages them to believe in themselves.
